Traditional Lenten Discipline
Worship & Meditation: During Lent,
St. Anne’s will offer added opportunities for public worship and encourage you to more frequent and fervent prayer, Bible study and private meditation on the saving love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Fasting and Abstinence: As an aid to devotional life, many Christians give up certain foods or activities through Lent. Some also set aside certain days (Wednesdays and Fridays) for more rigorous fasting in the Lord’s Honor.
Almsgiving: Moved by the sacrifice of Christ, Many Christians combine almsgiving with fasting, giving to the poor the money they saved by eating, drinking or buying less as they rely more upon God’s abundant grace.
Might Boxes: During this season children have often filled mite Boxes to be presented during the offering on Easter Sunday. (this is not limited to the young all may participate). Boxes are available in the Parish Hall.

Saturday the 14th of February we will be having a Pot Luck Supper beginning at 5:30 pm. This will be a family night for fun and games. ALL are WELCOME!
The Feast of St. Nicholas, December 6th was a wonderful evening of fellowship. We began with a fund raising supper for our two High School missionaries for thier ministry in the Dominican Republic this summer.
After supper we had a special guest, the Bishop of Myra, St. Nicholas himself was with us for the blessing of the manger outside the church. He stayed for awhile offering gold coins to all. The Bishop was very busy that night so he was on his way. Latter the story of St. Nicholas was shared with all and the young had some arts and crafts.
